Text Box: he Inter-Agency Command Centre is usually the centre of all of our communications during scheduled events.  Not only does Waterloo Regional REACT use the Command Centre, it is designed as an Inter-Agency Command Centre to accommodate the needs of Police, Fire and Ambulance services. With its communications area at the rear of the trailer; its multimedia centre; and its work-stations for all emergency services, the Command Centre is fully equipped to provide on-scene communications coverage for whatever event. A unique feature of the Command Centre is that all cupboard surfaces are made of a whiteboard material, which has come in handy for police officers and investigators for displaying diagrams and plans.  Large maps can be found in the rear communications area, giving command operators city-wide map coverage.  Some uses for the Inter-Agency Command Centre include: providing shelter from the elements for the emergency services at various scenes; providing an enclosed, private area for police during investigations; and providing an on-scene communications post if ever a disaster is to occur.
